How this works
Our ETL pipeline fetches PDFs and spreadsheets from each agency's official portal, extracts line-items using a combination of table-extraction tools and rule-based parsers, and writes them to a canonical schema. Every extracted value retains a provenance pointer — the source document ID and page reference — so you can trace any county's budget execution number back to the original COB quarterly report or OAG audit.
